Who can vote or nominate for you?
Anyone can nominate and vote or just vote for finalists, once only per person, please. You can register at any time. There is NO purchase or attendance requirement. They do need to register.
To be eligible for the Dragon Awards the work in question must have been first released to the public in the last half of a year and the first half of the next year. (July 1 to June 30 for a given award period – with the results awarded at Dragon Con on Labor Day weekend.

How does someone nominate my book, movie, comic, or game?
The process is really simple. They simply need to register and then access the nomination ballot. On it will be all fifteen categories. They have the choice of making a nomination at any time during the nomination period.
What is the Nomination Period for this year?
Nominations may be made when nominations open through 11:59PM EDT, on July 19 every year.
Do they have to nominate someone or something in all 11 categories at one time?
No. They can nominate only one or as many choices as they are comfortable with. Be aware that they only get one nomination per category. Once they have entered a nomination, they cannot be modified.
Can someone nominate just my book, game, movie, book cover or comic?
Yes, a fan can leave any category they wish blank.
Can a fan change their nomination in my category?
No, once chosen a nomination in a category is permanent and cannot be changed. All Nominations are final.
How long do I have to be nominated?
Nominations will close at 11:59 EDT, on July 19 every year. Voting on a final ballot will then begin in early August. Dragon Con will attempt to notify all individual nominees in late July and early August.
Do my fans have to nominate me in order to vote for me?
Fans do NOT have to have nominated anyone or even registered earlier to vote on the final ballot. They can register to vote just on the final ballot. Just voting for the finalists is allowed.
When can my fans vote for me if I am a finalist?
Voting for the finalists will begin when the first batch of ballots are emailed in early August. Voting will end at 11:59 EDT on the Saturday of Dragon Con weekend just before Labor Day. After the initial release of ballots, SurveyMonkey will issue ballots to those that register. Please note that voters must not be “opt-out” with SurveyMonkey to receive a ballot. Is it okay to push my fans to vote for me?
Yes, the Dragon Awards are a fan choice, and it is perfectly acceptable for you to encourage your fans to vote for you. However, please do not offer anything of value as “encouragement,” and one vote per human please.
How Do I find out who has won?
Along with being announced at the Dragon Con Convention held over Labor Day weekend recipients will be posted on this website.
